Real life gets in the way all too often, and I forget to come here and post. Oh well. I'm here now.
My interests have made another minor shift in the last few days. Though I still adore my Hugh Jackman, my past love of Highlander (and the off-shoot of Adrian Paul) has come to the fore once again. What started it? In the last few days, I've watched nine of the show's eps, and my creative juices are flowing towards HL again. I've created a couple AP wallpapers, and have resumed work on the Richie/Becca story I started months ago and left in limbo when my lazy wench of a muse went on her normal hiatus. Though I have only managed to do another four pages, and the muse is back on the lam, I'm happy I got those four pages done. That's four pages closer to the end of the story than I was before. As it stands right now, Richie and Bec have professed their love for one another and are beginning to make love the first time. Ah...romance! Gotta love it! I figure, if Duncan and Kady can find happiness, R&B need it as well.
Mary and I just came from seeing "War of the Worlds," and though it wasn't the best movie I ever saw, it was worth the price of the matinee ticket. I like Tom Cruise anyway, and most Spielberg movies are well-worth seeing, so it wasn't a wasted afternoon. Next to see, I hope, will be "Batman Returns" and "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." (Brad Pitt. Need I say more? LOL!) I'll also want to see "Elizabethtown" with Orlando Bloom. Now there's another lovely looking man. A bit young for me, but I can still look, can't I? You bet I can, and I do!
My dear friend Anna has her first book out in January (YAY, ANNA!!! Whoo! Whoo!) and I have offered to help her rejuvenate her website. I don't know how well I'll be able to do it, as I'm still pretty iffy on creating websites, and my knowledge of HTML is very minimal, but I want to do everything I can for her. We haven't gone much beyond sending color scheme ideas and likely candidates of background images to each other, since neither of us have had enough time to work on this together enough. If I can't get the site going by the time school starts up again, I may have to pass it off to her to get help from someone else. We'll see what happens.
One more semester left of school for me...assuming I get the financial aid I need. We'll see on that too.
That's it for now. More later.

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm tardy...
...but RL gets in the way all too often to suit me. It also doesn't help to not have anything to say!
Anyway, one thing I can mention is that I've been learning new techniques in my Adv. Photoshop class at school, and I have created a really nice picture of Hugh and Deb I'll post here. Now, if only I can find a really good job, close to home so I don't have to commute, once school is over for me and it would allow me to use what I've been learning these last few semesters. We'll see.
Here's Hugh and Deb...
D'oh! I don't have it uploaded to Photobucket to share. Rats. I'll get that done later. Trust me, it's a good pic and worth waiting for, if I do say so myself!

Change of mind...
I won't go into all the hairy details, but due to some things happening on the WLH hugh list, I have decided not to write the story I had planned, which would have used all this bidding stuff. I'm disappointed, but I have other stuff I can work on when the muse returns.
I still have my SLY story to finish, I have a Van Helsing/Highlander idea mulling in my brain, and Sunny got me to thinking what I would come up with if I were to create my own X-Men mutant character. I have a few ideas, but I need to do some research first on the particular animal traits I want her to have. Right now, my idea is leaning toward a falcon...Sunny said she'll help me with some of the research. (I want my character's power/ability to be excellent vision.)
Anyway, writing has fallen to the wayside now that school is back in session, and my time is much more limited.
I'm having computer problems at home. I can't figure it out, either. I can receive and send email, and do IMs, but I can't get online to any web sites. No network connection. So far, I haven't been able to get any help from my ISP. Feh.
More later...

The bidding is over!
Because two "anonymous" donors wanted to help Sunny out, her final bid came to $11,000, so she's the big winner. Next in line were Maria and Molly, tied at $10,000. Mary bid $9,550, and Linda $8,000. The ladies knocked out of the running were DJ at $5,000, and Marie at $2,000.
So, I have my Five. I just hope all the hassel over the weekend will be worth it once I get the story written.

The bidding continues...part two!
Before I talk about that, though, I want to share a link to my friend Anna's blog here at Blogspot. Anna is a writer of romance fiction, and is one of my mods at our Lion and Thistle yahoogroup. Anyway, she posted the link to my blog on hers, so I want to return the favor!
Check it out! http://annacbowling.blogspot.com/
Now, for the status of the bidding:
We now have seven ladies in the running. I'm still working on getting Sunny to realize this is just fantasy, and in this fantasy she is one of the Harem ladies who works for Hugh and can afford to make bids. She's still stuck in RL frame of mind and is thinking there's no way she could afford to bid. I'll work her through this yet, just wait and see! Mary also decided to join in after all.
Two more charities to add to the list: Sunny's is the Tsunami Relief Fund, and Mary's is Make a Wish. I've decided mine for the story will be the Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind in Melbourne. It's the school Hugh spoke of when he sang for the Carols By Candlelight concert. (Did I alrady mention this in an earlier post? I don't remember. If so, I'll blame it on a senior moment, which happens all too often anymore!)
Four of the women, Sunny included, is tied on their bids, so they will have to submit new bids to stay in the race. They still have until tomorrow morning to do so.
I'm in the mood for another pic of Hugh here...how about this one?
Shake your booty for us, baby! LOL!
I was supposed to go to my parents this morning for breakfast, but didn't. I was up late last night (my mind wouldn't shut off) so I slept in this morning. My dad phoned and woke me up. They are having problems with their water well pump anyway, so it wouldn't have done me any good to go out, for various reasons I won't go into here. I'll just wait for another day.
School starts up again in a couple days. I'm looking forward to it, and yet I'm nervous a little bit on how my schedule will be, trying to combine it and work. I don't think I'll be home much, but we'll see.

The bidding continues!
We now have five bidders...Maria, Marie, Molly, Linda and DJ. Mary chose to pass since she doesn't think the other ladies know her well enough for me to put her into the story, and she doesn't post much. I could have told her DJ doesn't either, and she bid a nice amount!
I stayed up until 5am this morning, writing ideas down for the story. It's really going to snowball once the bidding is over and I actually start writing this thing. I have a couple scenes worked out already. I just need to fill in the blanks and flesh things out.
The cast of X-3 are going to be in the story, particularly Halle Berry.
I've also decided Deb and Oscar aren't going to be in the story, except for a mention of Deb. She gives money to the cause herself, apart from what Hugh gives.
If this were the real deal, and Hugh learned of the money the ladies would be giving (if they actually had it to give,) he'd love it!

Bidding update...
I was in a chat with Maria, Marie, Linda and DJ tonight. DJ hasn't given me her bid yet, but I have bids from the other three. I also have their charity choices.
Maria is going with the Bone Marrow Donor Institute of Melbourne;
Marie chose the Lighthouse Foundation;
Linda went with Broadway Cares -- in honor of Peter Allen;
DJ wants to go with Right to Life.
The bids are looking good so far! I know that, if this were all real, Hugh would be very pleased!

Ooo...I'm gonna have some fun now!
I've decided to start on the continuation of my WLHugh story, "Hugh's Harem." This story will be called, tentatively, "One More Time."
Hugh is missing the ladies. He really enjoyed the gathering in LV, and he wants to see them again, but his work schedule hasn't allowed it. So, he calls me and gets my opinion.
I think about it for a little bit, then I suggest this: How about he (or I do) tells the list members there will be a silent auction for one week with Hugh, on the set of X-3. The top five bidders will win. The money raised will go to his charity of choice. After that, all expenses for the five will be covered by him. All the winners will have to pay is the bids they make and whatever spending money they want to take with them.
I have emailed the real list about what I am writing, and have asked them to pretend this is real, and that Hugh has actually made this offer. What would each of them bid? This way, I will see who the top five are and will put them into the story. I told them that none of them can be fantasy millionaires to make huge bids. I want them to be realistic, although the ones who are in financial difficulties can still bid something.
I expect Sunny, Kitty, and Molly to place bids. Maria already has, and Mary will also. The rest...we'll see!
Once I end this on Monday morning, I'll post to the list to let the ladies know who won, and I'll post it here too. This should be fun! I just wish it was true, rather than fantasy!

Hugh's singing voice
I just had to listen to him sing this morning. I have some video and audio files saved to my computer, and one of them is the song, "Bethlehem Morning" he did for the Australian show "Christmas By Candlelight" back in 1997. (He also sang "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," which I also have.") Man, his voice is just so pure as he sings BM. The low notes, the high notes...I get chills every time I hear it. The first time I watched the vid, I cried at the end when he hits a high note. It went right through my heart.
For anyone else who reads this and is interested, here's the link to find the clip for downloading...it's the third row down, third clip:
http://hjackman.com/shtml/vid_clip.shtml
This is a great site for lots of other stuff he's done.
***********************************************************************************
I have to work all day...rats. I'd be so happy if I could afford to be at leisure all day, and not have to work. I could sit and read, or play on the computer, all day with no problem. That doesn't pay the bills, though, of which there are always too many, and never enough $$ to pay them.

I can't forget...
...to mention my other interest: Jim Caviezel. I think Maria would smack me around if I ignored him!
I became very interested in Jim last spring when "Passion of the Christ" came out. I saw the movie, and was absolutely floored. I didn't see Jim up on that screen. I saw Jesus. It was very moving, and continues to be.
Of course, I had to find out everything I could on him, and save all the great pics I could snag from online. Soon came my Yahoogroup list for him, and through that list, and through the one I started for Hugh, I've met some wonderful ladies who have become great friends.
Since I rediscovered Hugh, I have to admit my interest/feelings in Jim has lessened a little. I can't see him in lustful ways as easily as I do Hugh. I think it has a lot to do with the fact he is deeply religious, and I feel guilty if I lust too much over him!
Hugh, on the other hand...all bets are off!
I have to mention what got me started on Hugh. A couple months ago I had a dream that he was in. I was on a bus with a group of people, talking. I began to realize that Hugh was sitting next to me, and before long, he had gotten close enough to me that he was able to put his head on my left shoulder. Then his face was turned into my neck and I could feel his warm breath there. That led to him kissing me, and baby...can he kiss! Tongue and all...mmmm!
When I woke up I could still feel his breath on my neck, and that sensation stayed with me for several days. My hormones went in meltdown, and it hasn't lessened at all...in fact, it's increased!
This is my favorite picture of Hugh...I melt every time I gaze into those beautiful hazel eyes.
I've written some fic based on characters both men have portrayed, as well as co-wrote a story with the WLH harem ladies about Hugh. I'll share links to those stories as I can.
It's late...gotta close for tonight. More later, I'm sure!
